Good and Bad Netiquette
Netiquette ("Network Etiquette"): the rules of etiquette that apply when communicating over computer networks,especially the Internet.
Good Netiquette Examples:
Use descriptive subject lines in emails.
Helps inform the recipient of what the email is about.
Choose a good/professional e-mail address and write professional e-mails.
Greeting such as: Dear…
End e-mail: Regards, Your Name
Use spell-check, proofread, and proper grammar
Bad Netiquette Examples:
Shouting (using all capital letters) in emails or chat rooms.
Difficult to read.
Sending or forwarding spam, intentionally or unintentionally.
Types of spam: e-mail hoaxes or chain letters, spam message boards, instant messaging (spim), social networking spam.
Posting photos of others online without permission.
Once photos are online they are permanent.
